Appraisal Training (PDR) for Managers

Aim:

• Clarify the key elements of an appraisal
• Identify some of the barriers and obstacles to appraisals and propose solutions to overcome them
• Identify stages in the appraisal and how to prepare for them

Background:

A generic training session designed to help participants to conduct appraisals.

• Communication model
• Understanding barriers to feedback
• A guide to giving feedback
• Feedback models
• Opportunity to practice delivering constructive feedback
• Overview of the different paperwork used in addition to the 360 tools

Participants:

Managers who conduct appraisals for staff.

 

 

Duration:

3 Hours from 2011

Pre-requisites:

Attendees must be managing staff in order to attend.

 

 

Frequency:
(planned dates)

Full Appraisal Training and Appraisal Refresher courses to be run across the 3 sites from March until September 2012.
