Welcome to the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery. Our mission is to deliver 'quality education, informed by research, delivered by experts' which we believe is best achieved through working collaboratively with experts at the cutting edge of health care in Heft. The Faculty of Education design, deliver and accredit a portfolio of education and learning that reflects the 'Fit for Purpose' agenda which puts the patient at the centre of everything we do.

Working within a multidisciplinary framework, the team create flexible and innovative learning programmes that enhance the knowledge economy and scope of practice for healthcare practitioners. We take pride in this vision as is it underpins all that we do in a dynamic and changing landscape of education provision, achieved through expert knowledge within the Faculty.

Working collaboratively across all sites, core activities include preparation and support for professional practice, supporting practitioners to achieve competency in clinical skills and fulfilment of current Local and National agendas to provide safe, effective and high quality care for all.
